graphic thoughts

With the news that Birds of Prey has been cancelled (see prior post), I’ve decided to cease all updates on this site. I blog regularly at LiveJournal and most of the posts here were crossposted there, so I’m not stopping blogging, just stopping blogging at CanaryNoir.com.

Thanks to everyone who followed my extremely occasional blogging here and who read my abortive web comic. I’ll be honest, it probably won’t get finished in spite of all my vows. Time has passed and my priorities have changed. If things change again, though, it could happen. If that does happen, I’ll post any future updates on this blog, but that’s it.

I should have posted this up ages ago.  My apologies to artist extraordinaire Rep Pickard for not doing so.  Also apologies for being so useless with this web comic.  I promise I’ll make progress on it once all this real-life stuff that’s been going on since the holidays calms down — I’m aiming to get this properly kicked-off in April.  In the meantime, enjoy Page One (click for larger view).

But only about weekly updates and stuff.  I’m going to update The Beatniks as time allows–which may mean it will be even MORE like Butterfly and be random and sporadic–but when I finally finish the story, it’ll be what I wanted and not a rushed mess I threw together because I’d overcommitted.  I should never make decisions like this before the holidays; I always get way overconfident about how productive I’ll be.  *rolls*eyes*at*self* 

But I will not stop this attempt at web-comicing until whatever arc I’m working on when I decide to quit is finished.  Still pinky-swear to that.
