I take back everything I said…

But only about weekly updates and stuff. I’m going to update The Beatniks as time allows–which may mean it will be even MORE like Butterfly and be random and sporadic–but when I finally finish the story, it’ll be what I wanted and not a rushed mess I threw together because I’d overcommitted. I should never make decisions like this before the holidays; I always get way overconfident about how productive I’ll be. *rolls*eyes*at*self*
But I will not stop this attempt at web-comicing until whatever arc I’m working on when I decide to quit is finished. Still pinky-swear to that.
Be careful now. I might actually finish drawing a page before you get up the next installment. *working very dutifully on park benches and guitar cases*
Now if all I had to draw was park benches and guitar cases I’d be OK – I have plenty of models and they don’t move or talk or gesture … but it’s the elastic band pinging people that I’d have difficulties with … despite my having books with diagrams on how to do it (ping elastic bands I mean) (not sure why I do – I just do) … so keep drawing DQ!
Heh, Min, you know, there’s a funny thing about that…. awhile ago I was designing a bunch of character templates for a RPG campaign I was writing up. It was for a d20 Modern game (where your lovely Noto avatars come from) and the main characters were going to start off as office workers…. the girl destined to become the gunslinger/fast shooty character was labeled “the fastest rubber band in the cubicle.” I downloaded a bunch of pictures that I could find of women shooting rubber bands to use as possible character portraits, so I now have this lovely collection of shots to refer to in case I need help with some of the posing (it is an awkward position to draw, actually…).
